Anti Brexit protestors at Court of Session in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. 3 September, 2019. Pro-Europe and anti-Brexit protestors outside the Court of Session in Parliament Square, Edinburgh. The protestors are demanding the withdrawal of the threat to prorogue Parliament. Scotland’s most senior law officer, James Wolffe, the Lord Advocate, has accused the UK government of abusing its power to force through Brexit as he tries to intervene in two court challenges to the suspension of parliament.
He has applied to intervene in a hearing today at the Court of Session in Edinburgh, brought by a cross-party group of 75 parliamentarians, and an action at the High Court in London.
